Multi Cultural Enigma by kazenokibou Multi Cultural Enigma by kazenokibou
School project. The project was suppose to show multi cultural enigma, and could bassically do anything so I decided I was the enigma (mysterious person) and went with that.

The right is cutout paper, with origami paper. Cutout paper is traditional Japanese/Chinese art so I tried to show the Japanese side with that. I'm saying "Do I look American?" in the speech bubble. The one in the left is done in acrylic, which is a western style of medium to show more of the western culture. The background is the little gate or entrance way of Indiana University.

Neat idea. It feels like it's been a while since we've seen your paper cutouts.

This is brilliant...I think you did a really good job capturing the two styles, very distinct and both very well done. The detail to the painting is lovely, as is the clean simplicity of the cutout. Both versions are such a treat to look at :D
